Year 4 What have we been up to?

Year 4 had a busy end to last term, conducting science experiments, writing poems and making coin purses!

During science week, we carried out an experiment to look at how ink changes colour when exposed to water. We made predictions and observed what happened when we drew coloured dots on kitchen roll and left them to absorb water. We found out that secondary colours turn back into the colours which make them.

In English, we learnt how to write Haiku poems and had fun creating our own versions about animals, the weather and a whole lot more!

Our final project for the half term was to make Viking coin purses. We create monogram stamps to decorate them and put our sewing skills to the test to create them.
